The fencing industry’s Pilot Agricultural Fencing Course is scheduled for May 6th to 8th, 2024, at the TAFE NSW campus in Orange.
Twelve participants have been selected for funding under the AgSkilled 3.0 program, subsidised by Training NSW.
Congratulations on being selected for the Fencing Skill Set Pilot Program.
The four units making up this Fencing Skill Set:
- Workplace Health and Safety Processes
- Farm Fencing Installation, Maintenance and Repair
- Basic Electric Fencing Operations
- Conventional Fencing Planning and Construction.
During this comprehensive three-day course, participants will learn to craft and maintain fences for farms and rural properties.
They will explore installation, repair, and maintenance techniques to excel in the fencing industry.
The Fencing Industry Australia Skills Pathway Initiative Advisory Committee will evaluate this three-day course upon completion to ensure the Skill Set equips participants with the skills demanded in the rural fencing sector.
Additional fencing skill sets are being developed by the initiative for release in the coming months.
This Pilot Program is a significant step forward for the Australian fencing industry.
