Bega is set to shine brighter than ever with the highly anticipated Bega Streetlight Festival on Friday 24 October, promising an unforgettable evening filled with light, art, food and community spirit.
For the first time, Bega’s main street will be closed from the War Memorial gates to Mal’s Pizza Bite, transforming into a vibrant pedestrian precinct alive with entertainment, food and creativity.
Festival highlights include:

South East Arts’ photographic exhibition, showcasing 20 finalist works in local shopfronts

Spiral Art Gallery’s FEATHERED exhibition, featuring 77 artists and live chalk art

Interactive displays from the Sapphire Snappers photography club and local craft stalls

Live performances across six locations, including the Bega District Band, Fling Physical Theatre and Japanese Taiko Drummers

Street dining beneath festoon lights with 22 food vendors serving local and international flavours

Dazzling light projections on the ANZ Bank wall and Kings Theatre, created by Bega High School students
The event will also feature a gaming zone by Eden Game Development and buskers bringing fresh energy to the night.
Funded by the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program, the festival has received $346,143 to bring this community celebration to life.
Member for Bega Michael Holland said the festival “is a fantastic celebration of everything that makes our community so special – our creativity, our culture, our connection.”
