Major upgrades at Hands Oval as part of WA Recovery Plan

Regional Western Australia is set to benefit after the WA Government announced one of the most significant investments in sport and recreation in our State’s history, with a $130 million package as part of the WA Recovery Plan.

A total of $5 million is being invested towards significant upgrades at Hands Oval in Bunbury to replace infrastructure that is over 50 years old with contemporary facilities.

It will enhance Hands Oval’s reputation as the premier Australian football facility in the South-West by providing better male and female player change rooms, club facilities and enhanced spectator experiences.

The project is expected to create local jobs that will benefit small businesses and contractors.
