Motorists are advised the upgraded and widened southbound section of the M1 Motorway between Tuggerah and Doyalson has opened to three lanes.
This section of the M1 Pacific Motorway is now three lanes wide both ways with a speed limit of 80km/h.
The existing speed limit will remain in place for the safety of workers and road users as Transport for NSW completes the remaining finishing works, including pavement markings and safety inspections.
The full M1 Pacific Motorway upgrade is expected to be opened to traffic at 110km/h in the coming weeks, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow new line marking and signage.
