Creating an ongoing pipeline of work for Territorians

The Territory Government is making sure there are projects and works to support local business and local jobs.

In March 2021, 55 constriction contracts valued at $54 million were awarded to local businesses, supporting around 240 local jobs.

Currently, there are 18 procurements out to market valued at $44 million, which will support many more jobs for Territorians.

Contracts awarded in March include:

  • Sealing 10kms of Maryvale Road in Alice Springs;
  • Subdivision works in Borroloola;
  • Various design and construct Truck Parking Bays in Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and the Katherine region to support our freight industry; and
  • Upgrading the Stuart Highway and Chinner Road intersection.

An investment in strategic infrastructure and a steady pipeline of projects will continue to support industry and economic growth.
