The Territory Government is making sure there are projects and works to support local business and local jobs.
In March 2021, 55 constriction contracts valued at $54 million were awarded to local businesses, supporting around 240 local jobs.
Currently, there are 18 procurements out to market valued at $44 million, which will support many more jobs for Territorians.
Contracts awarded in March include:
- Sealing 10kms of Maryvale Road in Alice Springs;
- Subdivision works in Borroloola;
- Various design and construct Truck Parking Bays in Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and the Katherine region to support our freight industry; and
- Upgrading the Stuart Highway and Chinner Road intersection.
An investment in strategic infrastructure and a steady pipeline of projects will continue to support industry and economic growth.
