COVID-19 Relief Fund to continue to deliver community support

The WA Government is extending its Lotterywest COVID-19 Relief Fund to ensure continued support for community groups impacted by COVID-19.

The fund was created in March 2020 to enable all available Lotterywest proceeds to be directed to crisis and emergency relief and not-for-profit community organisations affected by the pandemic.

To date, it has delivered $67 million in grants to the Western Australian community.

This includes $10 million in grants specifically targeted towards community sports and arts programs, $11.2 million to community groups which support those experiencing hardship, and $26.3 million for organisations to address the financial impact of cancelled events, and support resilience.

The extension of the Lotteries Commission Amendment (COVID-19 Response) Act 2020 has been granted until March 15, 2021.

All grants funded under the Lotterywest COVID-19 Relief Fund are reported on Lotterywest’s website.
