A team of over 80 students from the University of Tasmania are heading to Canberra to compete in the 2024 UniSport Nationals, representing the state across nine sports. The event brings together more than 6,000 students from 42 universities nationwide.
University of Tasmania athletes will compete in rowing, sailing, judo, futsal, beach volleyball, water polo, ultimate frisbee, netball, and basketball.
Sport Operations Manager Anthony Jusup highlighted the significance of the event, stating, “This is an exciting time for sport at the University, and we’re proud to be sending such a motivated team.”
The UniSport Nationals will run from September 7 to 13.
