Responsible Gambling Awareness Week 2020 begins today (October 19 2020), with Western Australians reminded to seek support if they feel their gambling behaviours are affecting their finances, mental health or relationships.
The annual event is aimed at promoting responsible gambling and highlighting the support services available to those experiencing gambling-related harm.
The State Government’s ‘Show Gambling Who’s Boss’ campaign, first launched in 2018, continues – with the Gamble Aware website having had over 60,000 visits since the campaign’s launch.
The State Government and industry also fund the Problem Gambling Helpline 24/7 helpline, online counselling and face-to-face counselling services for those experiencing problems with gambling.
Anyone concerned about their gambling is urged to seek support by calling the Problem Gambling Helpline on 1800 858 858 or by visiting the Gamble Aware website.
