Rookwood Weir Project

Rookwood Weir Project

SunWater is continuing to work towards the delivery of the Rookwood Weir. Work has begun on some of the enabling works and the main contractor of the weir itself is expected to be appointed in mid 2020.

SunWater and the Queensland Government are keen to see regional businesses form an important part of the supply chain for this project. To facilitate this, they are working with Industry Capability Network (ICN) and have a Rookwood Weir ICN portal where businesses can register their interest in supplying to the project – https://rookwoodweir.icn.org.au. This project will require a broad range of goods and services as listed below:

Rookwood Weir Project

The Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning, Central Queensland Regional Office is supporting Sunwater and have undertaken an initial review of the suppliers that have registered on the ICN. We think there are still many local suppliers that have the capability to supply to the Rookwood Weir Project that have not registered.

If you are interested in supplying to the project, we would encourage you to go to the website – https://rookwoodweir.icn.org.au – and complete the expression of interest. If you are not already registered with ICN, it is free and it will enable you to express an interest in the project works.

If you have already registered on the site, we would encourage you to review your registration to make sure you have marked all of the goods and services you would be interested and able to supply to the Project.

Sunwater, and the Alliance once formed, are committed to providing business opportunities for Central Queenslanders’ wherever possible. Please note that by registering you are just expressing an interest in supplying to the Project. Registration is not a guarantee of work or even being short listed to tender for work.
