New building works to improve Leanyer Primary School

The Territory Government is investing in Territory children by improving infrastructure and facilities in schools across the NT.

Most recently, a Territory-owned construction company has been awarded a $1.68 million contract to build new classrooms at Leanyer Primary School.

Aged, transportable classrooms will be replaced with four general learning areas and a teachers’ space.

C&R Constructions is the successful tenderer.

Demolition of the old classrooms is now complete and earthworks have commenced in preparation for building works.

The project is scheduled for completion later in 2021.

Ashford Architects, also a Territory company, was awarded the design tender in March 2020.
