Back by popular demand, Jamie’s Ministry of Food’s online School Holiday Program will once again be Zooming into kitchens all over the country from Monday 20th September 2021.
With over 50,000 Aussies having participated in Jamie’s Ministry of Food’s face-to-face program, the online school holiday program offers parents a virtual activity option while giving kids some positive screen time.
“Australia’s response to our online classes has been fantastic. Many participants have told us that getting involved made them feel more connected to the outside world during these isolating times,” said Siobhan Boyle, CEO of The Good Foundation.
“Our school holiday program will teach students aged 12 and up the basics of food, nutrition and cooking, as well as some of Jamie’s special tips and tricks! Participants will learn how to make meals from scratch, by baking, grilling, sautéing, boiling and roasting fresh ingredients,” Siobhan said.
“Studies show that kids who learn to cook take their skills well into adulthood and have improved overall health and wellbeing. That’s why our programs equip people of all ages with skills that make it simpler and quicker to cook healthy, delicious meals.”
Funded by the Queensland Government through Health and Wellbeing Queensland, Jamie’s Ministry of Food is committed to improving the nutritional education and cooking skills for locals and priority groups.
