Council Secures $1.7 million Funding for Marulan Wastewater Treatment Plant Design

Goulburn Mulwaree Council has announced that $1.7 million has been successfully allocated for the design of the Marulan Wastewater Treatment Plant.

This funding has been secured through the NSW Government’s Regional Housing Fund, administered by the Department of Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure.

The funding, which is development-focused, is specifically aimed at supporting projects that will facilitate the delivery of new housing in the region.

The allocated funds will be crucial in advancing the completion of the concept and detailed design of the new Marulan Wastewater Treatment Plant. This significant investment underscores the Council’s commitment to sustainable development and infrastructure enhancement within the community.

The new wastewater treatment plant is poised to not only meet the growing demands of the region but also contribute to the overall improvement of environmental standards and public health.
