Picnic in the Park will be the 12th annual food and wine gathering in the breathtaking setting of Mirimbah Park at the base of Mt Stirling and Mt Buller resorts.
With the devastating effect on tourism in the region, in 2020 more than ever; Mansfield, Jamieson, Merrijig, Delatite and the Alpine region need your help. We are encouraging attendees to bring an empty picnic basket and buy from the locals. Match local wines and seasonal produce all while relaxing with a picnic rug
and enjoying the live entertainment (to be announced) and stay for the weekend.
The income loss across the quarter is estimated to be $183 – $200 million. The drop in visitor numbers is estimated to be between 550,000 and 630,000.
2020 sees the event managed by new event producers and the event is set to provide more entertainment, activities, stall holders, attendees, etc. Come and enjoy the best regional produce directly from the farms of the local growers and producers.
Experience Summer in the Mansfield/Mt Buller region with a variety of stalls, entertainment, activities and picnic rugs, all on the lawns of Mirimbah Park.
$35 Adult entry fee includes a take home event wine glass with your first drink on us, live music and a great day out in the High Country. Kids Entry (7-18 years old) $15 and kids under 7 are free.
Come and support local businesses by buying local. 1989 will be selling cheeses and platters, Cross Country Pizza, Snobs Creek winery, Delive Royal will be serving pies, quiches, macarons, ice creams, Bridge Road Brewery, Flaming Pizza, Mobile ice creams will have gelato and fairy floss and Ros Ritchie wines will be selling wines by the bottle and glass.
Over the weekend there will be Twilight markets, a Rodeo, Bike Buller MTB Festival, farm gate tours and many more!
Picnic in the Park will have plenty of activities for the kids and entertainment starts from 11am and food served until 5pm.
For the Kids:
Children are more than welcome to join the festivities with Picnic in the Parks very own Petting Zoo, face painting, jumping castle, scavenger hunt and much more.
For the Adults:
Chill out with live music from some of the best local musicians including youth groups from the region. An array of local produce, including a variety of cuisines & tastes. The High Country’s finest wineries showcase their specialities with various stalls and Picnic in the Parks own pop up bar where adult ticket holders can enjoy their first drink on us.
