Club Soda set to wow at Dubbo Regional Theatre

Infused with cabaret, dance and burlesque, served with a slice of magic, a twist of circus and a heady mix of comedy, Club Soda will have audiences on the edge of their seats the whole night. A sexy production that may show a little bit of flesh, Club Soda is sure to shake things up when it comes to Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) on 22 August, 2020.

Presented by Raconteur Productions, Club Soda is the newest concept from the creative team behind The Paris Underground Cabaret – the most successful touring cabaret production in Australia. In Club Soda, you will be led into a surreal and magical speak-easy, serving up a cocktail of secret ingredients, shaken over ice, poured into the Collins glass of your mind, garnished with a tantalising lime wheel of entertainment and topped with effervescent soda sounds for the soul!

Manager Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) Linda Christof says the show has been curated to allow an additional level of engagement from audiences, with four weeks’ worth of dance lessons on offer in the lead-up to the show.

“We want the audience to not just witness the show, but really experience it. The take up has been great with 18 dance participants of all ages midway through the course learning the Foxtrot and easy Jive,” said Ms Christof.

The evening will include talented entertainers who have taken to the stage at West End and Broadway, showcasing their rare skill and tap-dancing performance.

“We’ll also be treated to alluring routines by burlesque artiste, dancer and showgirl Natalya Alessi – Winner of Miss Burlesque Australia, Entertainer of the Year. This is the perfect show to kick off re-opening the venue to the public – where everyone can socialise safely but with the atmosphere of live theatre. We are fortunate to have an entertainment space over 600sqm with a stage to be able to do this,” said Ms Christof.

Mayor of the Dubbo Region, Councillor Ben Shields, said Club Soda is a spectacular way to re-start the DRTCC season shows, when it takes to the stage in August (2020).

“You’ll get bang for your buck with a top notch cabaret show. Loads of energy from the diverse ensemble of performers who have been looking forward to being back on tour. In fact, all of the staff and volunteers are eager to welcome patrons back to the venue,” said Councillor Shields.

The show is recommended for mature audiences, over the age of 15. There is reserved seating with limited numbers, and there will be tables of 6-8 people to allow for social distancing. Why not grab a table for your family and close friends. The Oxley Room bar will also be open throughout the night. Bookings are essential, and can be made by calling the Box Office on (02) 6801 4378.
