Close to $1 million in Multicultural Community Grants on offer

The Territory Government is offering close to $1 million in funding through the Multicultural Grants Program for 2021-22.

This includes two rounds of Multicultural Grants Program funding, Quick Response Grants and funding for peak multicultural organisations.

The grants are a celebration of the Territory’s rich cultural and linguistic diversity and support multicultural communities through a range of innovative programs.

Around $350,000 in grants are available in Round 1 of the Multicultural Grants Program 2021-22 to fund projects, events and activities that promote and celebrate social inclusion, cohesion, multicultural diversity and linguistic diversity are eligible for funding.

Applications for Round 1 of the Multicultural Grants Program 2021-22 are currently open and close 20 April 2021.

In addition to the Multicultural Grants Program for 2021-22, more than $300,000 in financial assistance is available through the Multicultural Community Facilities Grant Program 2021-22 to help groups upgrade and renovate existing premises managed or owned by recognised migrant or multicultural community organisations.

This grant funding will also support local jobs and businesses.

Funding is available to upgrade or renovate facilities that provide:

  • venues that will be used to host multicultural events
  • meeting places to encourage development, expression and promotion of multicultural diversity
  • premises available for use by all Territorians regardless of their cultural and linguistic background.

Applications for the Multicultural Communities Facilities Grant Program 2021-22 are currently open and close 30 April 2021.
