Changed traffic conditions continue on Namoi River Bridge at Manilla

Motorists are advised of a continued 15-tonne load limit on the Namoi River Bridge on Manilla Road at Manilla.

The load limit was applied earlier this month after damage was identified to some of the bridge’s support structures during maintenance work.

Investigations and design work for the repairs have been completed and the load limit will be removed after repairs are carried out, which is expected to be on Friday 29 May, weather permitting.

Road users will be advised if the work is able to be completed and the load limit removed before that date.

A signposted detour is in place for all vehicles exceeding 15 tonnes, adding between five and 10 minutes to most journeys. The detour is via South Street, River Street, Higgins Avenue, McDonald Street, Rangari Road and Charlies Street.

Transport for NSW thanks the community and stakeholders for their understanding and patience.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
