Transport for NSW is hosting a free Heavy Vehicle forum to connect farmers, fleet owners and drivers with safety experts in the Tamworth area.
Director North Region Anna Zycki said interested parties are invited to register their interest in attending the forum being held on Wednesday 10 March 2021 from 8am to 11am at the ibis Styles, 80-90 Ebsworth Street in Tamworth.
“This free event will feature a range of speakers discussing current issues, industry regulations and safety priorities for heavy vehicle operators,” Ms Zycki said.
“The forum provides an opportunity for heavy vehicle operators and owners to hear from and interact with industry colleagues, regulators and road safety professionals.”
Ms Zycki said guest speakers on the day will cover a range of issues including efficiency and safety improvements, load restraint and permits, and key industry trends.
“Transport for NSW will be highlighting new information about the top ways truckies can meet their compliance responsibilities – particularly around registration, exemptions and work diaries, ” Ms Zycki said.
“The heavy vehicle industry is the backbone of the state’s economy, and it is important to keep everyone in the industry informed about safety and regulations.”
Those attending will have the opportunity to take part in a Q&A session and hear presentations from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR), industry professionals, Transport for NSW, and Cotton Australia.
