Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on Manilla Road at Manilla for essential repair work to be carried out on the Namoi River Bridge.
The bridge will be closed intermittently for up to 30 minutes at a time from Wednesday 10 to Friday 12 June to carry out repairs. There will be multiple stoppages during work hours on each of the three days.
Work will be carried out between 9am and 6pm on Wednesday (June 10 2020), 7am and 6pm on Thursday (June 11 2020) and 7am and 5pm on Friday (June 12 2020). The bridge will be open to light traffic at night, but the current 15-tonne load limit will remain in place until repairs are complete on Friday.
A signposted detour is in place for all vehicles exceeding 15 tonnes, adding between five and 10 minutes to most journeys.
The detour is via South Street, River Street, Higgins Avenue, McDonald Street, Rangari Road and Charles Street.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
