
Grow your business assistance in Baw Baw
Baw Baw Shire Council has received a $15,000 grant from the State Government through Regional Development Victoria (RDV) to facilitate business skills training for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in Baw Baw Shire.
The Grow Your Business grant will help fund a group program to boost skills among local firms.
Baw Baw Shire Council Mayor Cr Adam Tyson said "the Grow your Business program would provide small to medium businesses with the knowledge and skills to be able to forecast demands and develop business strategies and structures to support their business.”
“I would encourage businesses to take up this opportunity. The program is normally $2,200 but with the grant we are able to offer it at $550. The subsidised rate is available for the first ten businesses to register.”
SED Consulting Gippsland Warragul will facilitate the program.
The program will comprise of 2 workshops and further individual business planning sessions with the consultants that will enable businesses to tailor their plans and be supported through the program.
The workshops will be run on the 3rd and 10th of March 2010 in Warragul.
